Week 13: Ranking, Link Building & Google Analytics
I was introduced to Google Analytics by a colleague a few months ago. She tried to explain a bit about it, then suggested I take this class to learn more. I was pretty excited when we finally reached the Analytics part of this class. However, most of what we have done this week is way above my head and understanding. I honestly don’t think I have the time, energy, or interest to properly learn how to use Google Analytics. That doesn’t mean this class has been a waste of time. I now somewhat understand all the data and information I can find if I care to look.
This class has also given me an insight into where my strengths are and what is better left behind. I understand the importance of having an excellent website when dealing with eCommerce. I also realize that a website is an essential tool in my business. But. Since most of my clients will likely come from referrals, not direct web searches, it might not be worth hiring someone to do all the analysis and create plans. I might change my mind at some point, but for now, I’ll work with what I have.
